FIRE SURVEYING & MANAGEMENT
Our expert surveyors undertake a series of site fire surveys and reviews to keep your building safe and fully compliant.
Fire Stopping Surveys conducted to determine weak points or missing compartment penetrations. Photographic reports with key plans issued to support review cases for landlord claims an example.
Fire Door Surveys providing a detailed inspection report for each fire rated door. Reports identify any remedial actions required and provide comment on the condition of all door components and the overall risk that any observed defect may present. Subject to building use, surveys are required annually as a minimum and as frequently as quarterly on residential high-rise buildings.
Fire Risk Assessments available across full buildings or tenant occupied floors, to support Responsible Person/Duty Holder under Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021 & Building Safety Act 2022. Our appointed assessor will review fire evacuation procedures, walk evacuation routes to determine safe, review life safety equipment and documentation, including wayfinding signage and safety instructions.
Under our Management provisions we offer guidance and coordination with appointed regulatory bodies, Building Control, CDM representatives (Principle Designer and Principle Contractor).
FIRE STOPPING & DETECTION
It is imperative fire compartments are certified and maintained in accordance with the latest industry regulations (see below). Fire will always find the weakest point so it is essential all vertical and horizontal penetrations are fire stopped and labelled by an approved installer to create and maintain fire compartments. This is inclusive of mechanical ducting, pipework (water and/or gas, suppression systems), caballing and containment runs.
We can also supply and install fire detection and suppression systems through a variety of our trusted sub-contractor professionals. Contact us for more information.
FIRE DOORS & FIRE COMPARTMENTS
Our Fire Door surveyors, manufacturers and installers are all BM Trada certified. We are certified to survey, install, maintain and certify new & existing door sets.
Fire doors are only as good as the wall they are inserted in and vice versa. Fire compartments, brick, concrete or drywall, need to be rated accordingly to the approved Fire Strategy and fire stopped correctly to main the required compartment safety rating.
